Shadow on the east wall
On 22 April 2026 we stood on the approach and watched how long the east facade of the old museum kept shade. That week the strip of cool lasted until about 08:35. We used it. Inside we followed a single material: wooden coffins on the ground floor, two hours, no sculpture hall, no upper floor. Out at 10:50. Omar’s notes from that morning are about grain and pigment, not about a famous pair of seated kings. We had not come to compete for a photograph. We had come to finish a material.
Cases keep leaving for Giza. This page will not pin a famous name to a vitrine. Ask staff what is actually standing in the hall that week. Starting with a hunt for a crate that already travelled west is how looking goes cheap. Salmon stone at noon is heat, not a corridor.
